How to set up a collaboration?
Accept an offer and set up a collaboration to start work on your project! Once you decided which offer you would like to accept, it's time to set up a collaboration so the work on your project can begin. 🚀 To set it up, go to your 'Requests' and view the quote by the professional you'd like to work with. How can I cancel my collaboration?
When circumstances change, you can always request to cancel your collaboration. There are 2 scenarios: You're within the free cancelation window. You can cancel your collaboration at no charge. You're outside of the free cancelation window. You can ask the freelancer to cancel the collaboration for you and will be required to pay a 20% fee to compensate them for the time spent. How do I pay the professional?
When you accept an offer you will be asked to add your preferred payment card details. Payment will be processed automatically on the date specified in the quote. Adding a payment method You can use any Debit or Credit card to pay your professional but we can't accept cheques or Paypal payments.
How can I message my professional?
Send a message to ask about the offer or your ongoing collaboration. Once you have sent a request, you are always able to send your professionals a message to discuss your project. If you would like to discuss the offer before accepting it, go to 'Requests' > find the offer > click 'View offer'. Scroll down to the very bottom and you will see the message box. My payment is due, but has not yet been processed. What should I do?
Reedsy processes all payments automatically at 6pm UTC on the due date. If your payment is unsuccessful, you will be notified via an email notification. Please make necessary adjustments to ensure the payment is processed the next day. Once everything is cleared with your bank, you can also retry the payment yourself. How do I accept an offer?
You got an offer: here's what happens next. Once you are in Requests, click “View Quote” and then “Accept Offer”. Your selection of offers You will be asked to confirm your decision and to decline any other outstanding quotes. If you don't want to decline other quotes, un-tick the box next to “I decline any outstanding offer
How can I update the payment schedule?
To update your payment schedule, please get in touch with your professional who will be able to submit an amendment. You will be asked to approve the amendment before it takes effect so be sure to request amendments at least 3 days before the due date of the payment you want to change.
Do I need to send an official contract?
Your work is protected with the Reedsy contract. To protect both clients and professionals, Reedsy provides you with an automated contract that details the important terms of your collaboration. We call these our Mandatory Terms and any collaboration that you enter on Reedsy is governed by them. A professional can attach additional terms to your collaboration if necessary, and they will be displayed when you receive an offer. These are called “Special Terms”
How can I report a collaboration?
When things don't go as planned, don't worry: we're here to help! As part of our Reedsy service, we will try to help resolve any issues that arise between you and the professional. In the event that you cannot reach an agreement on your own, you can file a complaint with Reedsy though the Report tab of the relevant collaboration.
