How can I report a collaboration?

Reporting a collaboration 🚨

As part of our service, we will help resolve any issues that arise between a client and a professional. In the event that both parties cannot reach a mutual agreement or resolution, then you may file a complaint with Reedsy through the “Report” tab of the relevant collaboration.

We are happy to step in and mediate if:

The service provider does not complete the agreed-upon work;
The service provider does not complete the work within the agreed-upon time frame;
The quality of the work is poor;
The client provides inaccurate information when the terms of the collaboration were set;
The client expands the scope of the contract without updating payment terms, or attempts to blackmail the service provider in exchange for positive reviews.

When submitting a report, you must provide a detailed outline of the issue and attach any supporting evidence. Please note that we cannot review payments or consider communications and documents that were not transferred via the Reedsy platform. Reedsy will only review claims that are reported within 7 days of the applicable incident.

We review each report carefully and will issue a decision with which both client and professional must comply. Depending on the nature of the complaint, we may, for example, reach the decision that part of the fees should be refunded or deducted from pending payments, or we might suspend or terminate an account if we think there’s been a breach of our terms. Please refer to our full Terms of Use for more information.
