Did your client dispute a payment on Stripe? Here is what to do.

Clients can dispute payments for two reasons:

When they do not recognise your charges; and
They are unhappy with the services received.

If a client has accidentally disputed a payment, please update the Business Name and Statement Descriptor fields in your Stripe account to include your first and last name.

Where the client is unhappy with your services, you need to provide relevant Evidence to Stripe. It includes:

Your offer on Reedsy;
Communication and files exchanged on the platform;
Mandatory Terms of our Terms of Use; and
Any decision delivered by Reedsy concerning the dispute.

You can upload these supporting documents as screenshots.

We are here to help you navigate through this process. Kindly reach out to our support team at support@reedsy.com for detailed information about Stripe Disputes and next steps--including a checklist for your Evidence.
